About the conference
The first international conference "Art and Practices of Hospitality" will break down the topic of hospitality in contemporary art, museums, art residences, design, architecture and inclusion.
Moreover, the business program dedicated to art residences will become the 2nd Forum of the Association of Art Residences of Russia.
This conference is an online and offline platform for active networking and exchange of best practices and knowledge that is especially important during the pandemic. There are cultural professionals among the participants: artists, curators, art managers, architects, researchers, experts in inclusive and educational programs.

The conference is timed to coincide with the opening of a new building for the Vyksa art residence in the former café "Volna", which was built in the mid-1980s at the end of Soviet modernism and transformed into a residence by the architectural bureau "Novoe".

For the Russian art residences, the conference will become a platform for meeting and an opportunity to discuss the challenges that the format faces during this pandemic and in a postmobility situation.

In addition, the guests of the conference may join a tour to the vicinity of Vyksa and to its regional center, Nizhny Novgorod, in order to see the main attractions of the local art and tourism industry.
